Ferrets do need to have playtime out of their cages daily, yet your pet Ferrets usually still spend plenty of time in their cages when you are around there. So Ferrets need a large and well designed cage so they can play as much as they like. Make sure your Ferret cage has a solid floor, shelves and balconies etc, and ideally solid ladders, too. Multi-level cages are nice & cute, but falls are possible, because depending on the arrangement of the levels of the cages. You should get extra shelves or use hammocks to make cages safer for your pet Ferret if necessary. If you take care your pets, they will love you.
Ferrets are hyper active creatures and they always do lot of running,jumping and digging. This digging part can get quite problematic unless your Ferret cage has a solid floor and walls.
